Arab and Islamic Cultural Day

October 6, 2003

Emory student groups, Muslim Student Association and Arab Student Association, sent 8 students to teach Cary Reynolds 4th graders about Arab culture and the Muslim religion. The volunteers taught the Cary Reynolds students Arabic words, explained the Muslim religion, demonstrated the Muslim prayer ritual and sang words from the Quran, shared music and food, made lanterns with the students, and played a game involving countries whose people practice the Muslim religion.
